Interview With the Vampire (1994) Trailer #1 - Movieclips Classic Trailers

‘Interview With The Vampire’ TV show to begin filming later this year

It's the late 90's, you're chilling and watching Interview with the Vampire for the 10th time, crushing over Brad Pit and Tom Cruise, ah life is good! The good old days, indeed. Now, Hollywood has been digging up classics and remaking them lately and it looks like it is the Vampire's turn. The movie had it all - elements of horror mixed with romance and of course, some PRETTY good looking cast including legendary actors Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, with Christian Slater, Antonio Banderas, and Stephen Rea but if you are a fan of the novel series, you already know that the books were darn great and successful! Imagine the popularity!

Now, the Anne Rice books are having a new life breathed into them in the form of a TV series — so the battle is on for who could replace them. While they have one hell of a job on their hands replacing the two heartthrobs I mean, who wants to replace Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt?! Older than the other potential choices, year-old Ben has mastered that mystical ability of looking late 30s and young 20s at the same time. The actor has played the hero in Prince Caspian, the twisted Dorian Grey in a period adaptation, and most recently appeared in Punisher. With a penchant for trouble and a vulnerable side that melts the coldest hearts in all of his work, Robert Sheehan is a master of getting you to play along with things you know are bad. Timothee Chalamet is known mostly for his work in film — and is one of the most sought-after young actors in any Oscar-baity movie going.

In what was reportedly a competitive bidding situation amongst outlets, Hulu has landed the television project, according to THR. There was also director Michael Rymer's adaptation film, Queen of the Damned , which starred the late singer, Aaliyah, and Stuart Townsend. Author Anne Rice, upon regaining the theatrical rights to her literary mythology in November , wasted no time in moving forward with the television project. Five months later, Paramount Television and Anonymous Content optioned the rights for the literary franchise to develop said television project. Consequently, both Anne and her son, Christopher Rice, will be onboard the project as executive producers, joined in that capacity by Anonymous Content's David Kanter and Steve Golin. The January acquisition of Bryan Fuller as showrunner seemed like an auspicious development. However, the television maestro of Pushing Daisies , Hannibal and American Gods has been somewhat of a rolling stone as of late, having vacated both the second season of American Gods and his coveted Star Trek: Discovery tenure, as well as s anthology reboot Amazing Stories.
