Liz Clauder (113 books)

This book was fine, but didnt blow me away. Maybe Im a little desensitized by the other semi-biographical/memoir graphic novels set in the 70s/80s that have come out in the past decade. Issues of bullying and friendship dynamics, as well as sibling dynamics, are addressed. There are issues with friends, frenemies, rumors, lies, and wanting to be true to oneself but also be included by others. The main character is sweet and likable, and I think kids will find her relatable. There was nothing objectional about this book, I just didnt find it particularly compelling. Fans of other popular realistic graphic novels right now (Telgemeier, Jamieson, Holm) will likely enjoy this.
