Charlotte was named champion of this year's competition as the final three contestants were challenged to create evening wear for judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young. The finalists were asked to demonstrate their precision skills but creating a man's pin-tuck dress shirt. They were then tasked with transforming a black tuxedo into a little black dress before they were asked to create a floor-length evening gown. While Joyce won the first task, Charlotte excelled in the alteration task before going on to win the competition. Speaking about why they chose the youngster, Grant commented: "She has an affinity with fabric and has a lightness of touch. Esme continued: "I think Charlotte has grown over the course of the Sewing Bee.

You are so elated you ignore the wonky hemlines and mismatched patterns and slightly uneven top stitching if you even got to that stage! The Great British Sewing Bee S04E04 - International Week
Series 4 is starting in mid May and will run for 8 episodes taking us through to the summer. There is a new judge this series, Esme Young , who is replacing May Martin. Esme said in our interview that she is bringing pattern cutting to the series, encouraging the contestants to draft their own patterns. This series has the biggest age range of contestants from 18 to 71! Most of this year's contestants already have blogs, websites or social media platforms so I've included their links in the meet the contestant's post.
