Hobbit there and back again release date
The Hobbit or There and Back Again by J.R.R. TolkienIn a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.
Written for J.R.R. Tolkien’s own children, The Hobbit met with instant critical acclaim when it was first published in 1937. Now recognized as a timeless classic, this introduction to the hobbit Bilbo Baggins, the wizard Gandalf, Gollum, and the spectacular world of Middle-earth recounts of the adventures of a reluctant hero, a powerful and dangerous ring, and the cruel dragon Smaug the Magnificent. The text in this 372-page paperback edition is based on that first published in Great Britain by Collins Modern Classics (1998), and includes a note on the text by Douglas A. Anderson (2001). Unforgettable!
The Hobbit. (Audiobook)
Back when Peter Jackson assumed the directorial role on Warner Bros. The first film's title was a creation of the writing team while 'There and Back Again' was a reference to the book Bilbo writes to sum up his adventures. Now that Jackson has revealed he's going to make three films out of The Hobbit , that original plan has changed.
The Hobbit is a film series consisting of three high fantasy adventure films directed by Peter Jackson. They are based on the novel The Hobbit by J. Tolkien , with large portions of the trilogy inspired by the appendices to The Return of the King , which expand on the story told in The Hobbit , as well as new material and characters written especially for the films. Together they act as a prequel to Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. The screenplay was written by Fran Walsh , Philippa Boyens , Jackson, and Guillermo del Toro , who was originally chosen to direct before his departure from the project.
The greatest adventure is what lies ahead for the brave little Hobbit who we all admire — and now, we know exactly when that adventure comes to an end. The third and last installment in director Peter Jackson 's "Hobbit" trilogy, titled "There and Back Again," has a new official release date: December 17, That's five full months later than its original release date of July 18, — the same day that Bryan Singer's hotly-awaited "X-Men" sequel, the time-traveling "Days of Future Past," hits theaters. The new release date for "There and Back Again" upholds the tradition of Jackson's Middle-earth movies hitting theaters in December. All three of the "Lord of the Rings" films were December releases, and the new "Hobbit" trilogy will follow suit. Of course, a third "Hobbit" film wasn't always part of the plan.
