Archenemy and hero light novel
MAOYU : Archenemy and Hero "Become mine, Hero" "I refuse!": Vol. 1 by Mamare TohnoThis was an OK start. Though it was a bit slow and feels like stuff barely got kicked off. It was a bit boring actually. We got quite lot of info dumps and exploitation to set things up and I feel the plot suffered a little. But it looks like next volumes going to be more lively. The story could definitely be interesting to continue. It follows our Hero who travels to the demon world in order to end a long war between humans and demons, but ends up making a bargain with the Demon Queen.
I also found it bit odd to not let the characters have actual names but they are rather called by their titles/occupations. Makes me think about RPG games and such. (And I dont think this is supposed to be inspired/based on one. All I know though is that the manga/anime is adapted on the light novel). Could also be the translation that makes it feel weird. Im also not sure if it common in manga/anime because I dont read that much manga or watch much anime.
Will give the anime a shot and if I like that one Ill come back here.
Maoyuu Maou Yuusha
The series has been adapted into multiple manga series and an anime series has finished airing. In a world embroiled by war between Humans and Demons, the Humans' greatest hero invades the Demon King's castle in the hopes of vanquishing her. Instead of fighting back, the Queen proposes an alliance with the Hero. She explains how a sudden end to the war can bring further chaos to the world. The Humans who were united to stand against their common enemies would eventually begin fighting among themselves, with similar issues already occurring at the Demon Realm.
